The Driving test - Am I ready ????
|
In the days leading up to the driving test your Instructor should have done at least one simulation test and given you an evaluation of your performance. Both you and your Instructor should then know whether you are ready to take the test or if some fine tuning is necessary. If you know you have learnt to be a safe and defensive driver and are not making a list of critical errors, then go for that test with confidence. Make sure your Instructor agrees. If you have reached this stage then you should take the test with every expectation of a good outcome. If you demonstrate the C O R E driving skills correctly at the Driving Test then you are very likely to pass. Read the section in your "Keys_to_Driving_in_Queensland" booklet titled "Q-SAFE practical Driving test "to see that these CORE skills are very important Control - the car ( Use the System of Car (Vehicle) Control - page 139 ) Observation & Judgement - ( LOOk and See around you - most important of ALL ) Rules ( Obey the Road Rules ) Etiquette ( Be courteous to other road users and pedestrians ) Most Instructors will insist that you do about an hour warm up lesson before the test. This is important, as it prepares you both mentally and physically for a short drive with the Driving Examiner. Drive safely and smoothly and you may be on your way to P plates. |
