Will I pass the Driving Test ????
Q-Safe on-road Driving Test

The KEY to passing the driving test is given to you twice at the start of the Driving Test. You will be handed a sheet called "Message from the Driving Examiner" and asked to read it and later the DE will repeat parts of that message again for you.

In particular the KEY can be found in this statement:

" If I don't give you any specific direction please follow the road and be directed by road signs, signals and markings. "

If you use this KEY correctly and can control the car then your chances of UNLOCKING a Pass are more than excellent.

When a Learner Driver FAILS the Driving Test it is usually for one of the following 4 reasons:

  • Speeding
read speed signs and adjust speed
end of road work sign adjust speed ..etc
  • Fail to Give Way
         triangle shape sign
read pedestrian sign and PED X road marking      etc
  • Stopping
use good judgement at traffic signals
read the STOP sign and make a complete STOP
and see the solid white line road marking ..etc
  • Wrong side of road
severely cutting corner centre line marking on a right turn
         two way sign
         double white line marking ..etc

LOOK and SEE and use the information ahead of you to make good decisions.

Often Learners have concerns about Reverse Parking but our experience is that it is rare to have a Learner fail doing manoeuvres. Most failures come from the above four items. So pay attention to the signs , signals and road markings and process them accordingly.

Long before you get to the Driving Test you should have adopted this process as a driving habit.  A really good driver, with the above skills will likely pass their test at any Queensland Transport Service Centre.
