How to Choose a Driving Instructor

Paying $30 or $70 an hour does not guarantee you will learn anything for your dollars. All Driver Trainers are required to be Accredited and have dual controls in their car, but this also does not guarantee they will be a good Driving Instructor.

Hype, gloss, glamour and glitz on a website will not do much to help you make the right decision. In the end, you are going to have to pick a Driving School and see how your first lesson goes.

It may be important to you to be the best and safest driver you can be and a very good Driving Instructor can make a very big difference to your driving.

Ask yourself the questions below after your first lesson

Did you walk away feeling that you have learnt at least one new driving skill in this driving lesson ?

Did your Driving Instructor point out any weakness in your driving and show you how to correct it ?

Did your Driving Instructor ask you what you would like to achieve in the lesson when you began ?

Did your Driving Instructor outline a plan for this lesson and what you may learn from it ?

Did you feel comfortable with the attitude of your Driving Instructor ?

Did you get any handout material to support your lesson and the topics covered in the lesson ?

At the end of your lesson did the Instructor briefly summarize the achievements in the lesson and provide you with feedback ?

If you cant come up with a positive YES for at least TWO or more of these questions perhaps you should consider another Driving School in the area. There are many Driving Schools in the western suburbs of Brisbane around Toowong Indooroopilly Kenmore Jindalee Graceville and Mt Ommaney
