At Brizwest Driving School we find that learners take time to understand that they need to slow down before reaching the corner and not half way around the corner.

The early learner driver is best to slow down to the correct speed in a buffer zone before the corner and maintain the correct speed into the corner.

As the skill level of the learner increases they are able to reduce the size of the buffer zone so that they can go around the corner comfortably. Many street corners work well at about 20k per hour , but each corner is different and so the learner should take a conservative approach to each corner.
